Satellite Communications Systems Team Leader

About the Role:

OurMissile and Space Systems Division is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Team Leader to head our Satellite Communications Systems group.

• Lead a team of radio and space communications systems engineers, including development of microwave modules and RF components for space applications.
• Manage all technical aspects of projects across all phases, with emphasis on hardware and mechanical architecture in communication systems, while resolving technical challenges throughout the project lifecycle.
• Perform satellite link budget analysis and assess communication availability.
• Lead internal and customer-facing design reviews to evaluate system architecture and design.
• Coordinate interfaces with hardware, software, antenna, RF, mechanical, thermal, calibration, verification, and manufacturing teams.
• Take full engineering responsibility for team projects, including subcontractor management.
• Oversee system integration and acceptance testing in labs and field environments, both domestically and internationally, including FAT execution and system delivery to customers.
• Define requirements and support development across various engineering groups.
• Prepare and present technical reports to internal and external stakeholders.
• Lead and participate in system-level testing and trials in Israel and abroad.

What We’re Looking For:

• B.Sc. in Electrical and Electronics Engineering – mandatory.
• M.Sc. in Systems Engineering / Electronics / Physics – an advantage.
• 12 years of experience in systems engineering / hardware / RF / antennas / electromagnetic systems.
• Minimum 5 years of experience managing a technological team in the RF domain.
• Expertise in wireless and satellite communications – an advantage.
• Strong leadership skills: team motivation, professional development, team building, fostering a positive work culture, and conflict resolution.
• Proven ability to delegate tasks, manage schedules, and lead engineering processes.
• Experience integrating satellite communication systems and ground stations.
• Understanding of transmission/reception channel design – an advantage.
• Knowledge of digital communication protocols: QPSK, BPSK, FEC, TDMA/CDMA.
• Hands-on experience with advanced RF testing equipment, troubleshooting, and problem-solving.
• Ability to work under pressure, manage multiple tasks, and handle high workloads.
• Military service in a technological unit – an advantage.
