Backend team lead

A leading Cybersecurity and Big Data company is developing a platform designed to protect organizational data, detect vulnerabilities, and respond to cyber incidents. One of the company’s products learns and monitors daily user behavior, alerting instantly to anomalies or potential data leaks.

Headquartered in central Israel, the company employs 900 people locally and 2,000 globally. It serves over 8,000 enterprise customers worldwide and is experiencing rapid growth of 30% annually.

Responsibilities

• Lead, mentor, and manage a backend team of 4–6 engineers.
• Oversee the full employee lifecycle: recruitment, mentoring, development plans, and delegation of responsibilities.
• Conduct code and design reviews to ensure high-quality deliverables.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive backend architecture and development initiatives.
• Take ownership of operational problem-solving and raise issues proactively.
• Participate hands-on in backend development (up to 20%).
• Core Technologies C#, AWS, Azure, Docker, Microservices

Requirements-

• 3 years as Team Leader of R&D
• 6 years of proven experience as a Software Engineer (C# preferred)
• Working with a multi-threaded environment and on large-scale systems
• Working with AWS, Docker, and microservices – Advantages
• Teamwork skills with a problem-solving attitude
• Strong troubleshooting skills
• Ability to solve a complex problem in a timely manner
• Great interpersonal skills
