Software Engineering Team Lead

An Israeli InsurTech Startup has developed a platform that simplifies the analysis of employer benefit objectives and creates personalized pension plans for individual employees or groups. The platform makes health insurance offerings more transparent and cost-effective.

Targeting a multi-billion-dollar U.S. employer benefits and insurance market, the company operates in a B2B2C model, helping both employers and employees optimize benefits plans at better value.

Headquartered in Tel Aviv near a train station, the company employs 35 people, operates in a hybrid work model with two days from home, and is experiencing strong growth.

Founded by experienced entrepreneurs with prior exits and decades of experience in the U.S. insurance and venture capital sectors, the company has raised $32M in funding.

Responsibilities

• Manage and mentor a small engineering team (4–5 members).
• Participate hands-on in full-stack development (50% of the role).
• Design, develop, and maintain scalable features and infrastructure.
• Collaborate with the CTO and cross-functional teams to drive product development.
• Ensure high-quality, maintainable code and adherence to development best practices.
• Core Technologies React, TypeScript, Node.js, AWS, Full-Stack Development

Requirements-

• 2 years of experience as a Team Lead, in addition to hands-on full stack development experience
• Strong proficiency with TypeScript, NestJS, NextJS, and PostgreSQL
• A passion for clean code, performance, and building impactful products
• Proven ability to grow, inspire, and organize a team in a startup or high-paced environment
