Java Software Engineer

A leading FinTech Startup enables global financial institutions to optimize their capital activities automatically. The platform connects top players in the financial world, allowing banks and major financial entities to collaborate, maximize efficiency in capital markets, and improve returns on their assets.

Headquartered in Tel Aviv near a train line, the company employs several hundred people globally and operates a hybrid work model with one day from home.

Responsibilities-

• Develop and maintain backend services in Java for the company’s core platform.
• Work within a microservices architecture deployed on AWS.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, implement, and optimize features.
• Ensure high-quality, maintainable code with a focus on performance and scalability.
• Participate in code reviews and contribute to team best practices.

Requirements-

• B.Sc. degree in Computer Science, SW Engineering or equivalent (M.Sc. is an advantage)
• At least 8 years of experience in Java server-side development, including cloud services (preferably AWS)
• Experience in building complex, large-scale software solutions from scratch to live production
• Experience with Java, Spring Boot, Spring Data, JPA, Swagger, Maven, Kafka, PostgreSQL, Jenkins, GIT, RESTful Services, Docker
• Strong analytical skills
• Self-starter, fast learner, and great interpersonal skills
• Excellent English communication skills – spoken and written
• Financial affinity is an advantage
• A “Can-Do” mentality and mindset
• Can learn and work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
