Data Engineer

A Cybersecurity startup in the Automotive and Connected Car space provides a cloud platform for cybersecurity and data analytics tailored for the automotive industry.

Headquartered in central Israel (10-minute walk from the train station), the company operates a hybrid model with two work-from-home days per week and employs 115 people globally, most of whom are based in Israel.

Following a Series C round, the company has raised over $100M in total and is well-funded for future growth. Strategic investors from the automotive sector, including OEMs, insurance companies, and fleet management providers, support the company.

Responsibilities

• Lead, mentor, and manage a team of three Data Engineers.
• Design, build, and maintain data pipelines and infrastructure.
• Collaborate closely with Data Science and Engineering teams to support analytics and AI initiatives.
• Ensure high-quality, scalable, and maintainable data solutions.
• Participate hands-on in Python development and SQL data modeling.
• Utilize orchestration tools (e.g., Prefect) to manage data workflows.
• Core Technologies Python, SQL, Prefect, Data Engineering, Cloud-based Data Pipelines

Requirements:

• Strong experience in Python (Go experience is a plus)
• Experience with ETL processes – advantage
• Experience with orchestration tools such as Airflow, Argo, or Prefect – advantage
• Background growing from hands-on development
• Relevant technical degree (Computer Science, Software Engineering, or similar)
