Security Researcher

We are seeking a Senior Security Researcher to join a cutting-edge cybersecurity R&D team in Central Israel and lead advanced research in application security (AppSec) and emerging threats. This is an independent role with strong managerial growth potential.

Responsibilities

• Conduct advanced security research with a strong focus on application security (AppSec).
• Perform in-depth analysis of the HTTP protocol and identify potential attack vectors.
• Design, implement, and execute proof-of-concepts (POCs) for security findings.
• Research and evaluate the security impact of emerging technologies, including AI-based applications.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to integrate research insights into products.
• Explore machine learning approaches and write algorithms for threat detection and prevention.
• Stay updated on the latest global security threats and trends.

Requirements

• B.Sc. in Computer Science – required.
• 5+ years of hands-on experience in security research – required (must be research-focused, not just general security).
• Strong expertise in web application security (AppSec) – required.
• Proven experience in conducting deep research and building POCs – required.
• Expert knowledge of the HTTP protocol – required.
• Experience in AI/ML research and algorithm development – an advantage.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Self-driven, curious, and able to work independently.
• Excellent communication skills for presenting and sharing research findings.
