Verobotics is redefining facade services with autonomous, AI-driven robotic
platforms. We use advanced robotics, computer vision, and cloud-based analytics
to enhance safety, lower costs, and change how buildings are maintained and
monitored.
Role Overview
We are seeking a hands-on, visionary Mechanical & Mechatronics Tech Lead to
drive the design, development, and integration of the physical systems for our
autonomous robotic platforms. This is a critical technical leadership position
where you will be the primary architect for our hardware, guiding a team of
engineers with your expertise. You will be responsible for the entire hardware
lifecycle, from initial concept and prototyping to final production, ensuring our
systems are robust, reliable, and ready for real-world deployment. This role is
ideal for a senior engineer who excels at balancing technical deep dives with
cross-functional collaboration and is passionate about solving complex, real-
world problems.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as the technical lead and mentor for a team of mechanical and
mechatronics engineers.
- Act as the primary architect for all mechanical and mechatronic systems,
ensuring design integrity, performance, and reliability.
- Design and develop robust robotic hardware from the ground up, including
chassis, drive systems, actuators, and sensor integration.
- Drive the entire hardware development lifecycle from concept and detailed
design to prototyping, testing, and validation.
- Collaborate closely with software, electrical, and AI teams to define technical
requirements and ensure seamless integration between hardware and
software components.
- Implement best practices for New Product Introduction (NPI) and ensure
designs are optimized for manufacturability (DFM) and assembly (DFA).
- Define, execute, and oversee comprehensive testing protocols for system
performance, durability, and reliability.
- Drive technical project execution, ensuring timelines and key milestones are
met.
- Select and manage relationships with key component suppliers and
manufacturing partners.
Minimum Qualifications
- BSc in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, or a closely related field from a
reputable institution.
- 5+ years of professional experience in mechanical or mechatronics
engineering, with at least 2 years in a technical leadership or senior role.
- Proven experience driving complex hardware projects from concept to
production.
- Proficiency with CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, Autodesk Inventor).
- Extensive hands-on experience in prototyping, building, and testing robotic or
electromechanical systems.
- Strong understanding of NPI (New Product Introduction) and familiarity with
manufacturing processes.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and system-level design skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in robotics, industrial automation, or a related field.
- Familiarity with robotic operating systems (ROS/ROS2).
- Experience with FEA, thermal analysis, or other simulation tools.
- Knowledge of safety-critical system standards (ISO, IEC).
- Proven ability to work independently, make critical design decisions, and
manage technical risks.
What We Offer
- A pivotal role in a fast-growing startup, shaping the future of robotics and
automation.
- Full technical ownership of the mechanical and mechatronics architecture and
implementation.
- The opportunity to guide a talented team and make a direct impact on our core
product.
- Exposure to cutting-edge technologies in embedded systems, AI, and
robotics.
- A collaborative and mission-driven team dedicated to real-world impact.
