Azure FinOps Engineer

Role Overview:

• Manage, monitor, and optimize cloud costs in Microsoft Azure environments.
• Analyze cloud consumption and provide cost transparency reports for stakeholders.
• Utilize Azure Cost Management tools to identify trends, anomalies, and saving opportunities.
• Implement policies and processes for budgeting, showback/chargeback, and governance.
• Collaborate with DevOps, Development, and Infrastructure teams to embed cost efficiency into system design.
• Drive projects for cost optimization, including automation and alerts.

Requirements:

• 3+ years of experience in cloud cost management within Azure – required.
• Strong knowledge of Azure Cost Management, Pricing Models, Reserved Instances, and Savings Plans.
• Experience with FinOps/Cloud Economics tools (e.g., CloudHealth, Apptio, Cloudability) – strong advantage.
• Scripting skills (PowerShell / Python) for cost analysis and optimization.
• Strong analytical abilities and communication skills to present insights to non-technical stakeholders.
• Advantage: Azure certifications or FinOps Certified Practitioner.
