📍 Tel Aviv, Israel | ✈ Travel may be required | 🕒 Full-time, on-site
Company Description
Kudu Med is on a mission - wireless power transfer for implantable medical devices, eliminating risky battery replacement surgeries with a safe, non-invasive, high-efficiency recharging system.
We’ve built a groundbreaking prototype — now we’re turning it into a product that will save millions of lives worldwide.
Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role for a Senior Researcher specializing in Wireless Power Transfer (WPT) and RFID-style Circuits. The position is located in the Tel Aviv District, Israel. The role may also involve travel for collaboration and demonstrations.
We are seeking a PhD-level researcher (exceptional MSc candidates will also be considered) with hands-on expertise in RF power electronics for wireless power transfer, combined with knowledge of ultra-low-power communication or RFID-style circuits.
The role is deeply hands-on: you will be responsible not only for advanced circuit design but also for soldering, parts selection, precision measurements, and building presentable prototypes for stakeholders.
Success will be measured by prototype efficiency benchmarks and the ability to deliver under fast-paced timelines.
Required Qualifications
PhD in Electrical Engineering (Power Electronics, RF Circuits, or related field). Exceptional MSc candidates with strong track records will be considered.
Proven hands-on lab portfolio (must be presented during the interview), including:
- Building and testing WPT circuits (coils, capacitive, or low-frequency EM coupling).
- Work on rectifiers, resonant converters, or adaptive controllers for WPT (e.g., adaptive mixed-signal ICs, Abramov & Peretz, 2021)
- Fabrication of miniaturized circuits (PCB-level or IC-based).
- Experience with RFID or other low-power wireless communication circuits.
- Practical prototyping: soldering, part selection, measurements, lab instrumentation.
Ability to independently build and test prototypes without lab assistance.
Desired Experience (Not Required but Valuable)
- Strong record of academic publications in WPT, RF circuits, or biomedical electronics.
- Demonstrated innovation through patents or working prototypes.
- Implantable or biomedical-grade circuit development.
- Familiarity with GaN inverters, ASIC flows, or mixed-signal ICs.
- Experience working with patent attorneys or industry partners.
- 3D printing / rapid prototyping for enclosures or mechanical integration.
What We Offer
- A front-line role shaping the future of medical implants.
- The thrill of turning research into life-saving technology.
- Strong coffee, stronger Wi-Fi, and a team that actually loves debugging.
- Competitive salary, equity, and IP recognition.
