Research Psychologist

We are looking for a talented and impact-driven Research Psychologist. This is a hands-on research and product-oriented position, at the intersection of behavioral science and AI.

You'll play a crucial role in translating psychological theory into quantitative features that power AI models used for behavioral prediction.

A key focus of this role is applying LLMs (Large Language Models) and advanced text analysis techniques to extract psychological signals from unstructured text data—helping convert conversations into psychological insights.

You’ll work closely with our multi-disciplinary team (psychologists, data scientists, product managers, R&D, sales) to investigate and model the relationship between psychological traits and real-world behaviors—like financial habits, shopping patterns, and response to digital communication.

Key Responsibilities:

• Research & Modeling
• Design and conduct studies exploring how psychological traits influence behaviors such as financial decision-making, shopping preferences, and communication responsiveness.
• Analyze data using statistical tools to generate meaningful, valid correlations.
• Translate theoretical psychological constructs into quantifiable features suitable for use in machine learning models.
• Use LLMs and NLP techniques to derive psychological signals from user-generated text.
• Collaborate with data science teams to iterate and validate model outputs.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders (product, development, data science) to define research priorities and product requirements.
• Write clear, psychologically informed functional feature requirements and oversee their implementation.
• Ensure research findings are translated into scalable, production-ready features.

Required Qualifications

• MA or PhD in Psychology (e.g., cognitive, behavioral, clinical, or social psychology).
• At least 2 years experience in product development, especially in research-to-feature translation in an industry setting (not academia).
• Strong analytical mindset with demonstrated applied research experience in commercial settings.
• Experience working with textual data and/or LLMs to derive insights from unstructured human language.
• Proficiency in SPSS, Python, R, or similar analytical tools.
• Strong project management skills; able to balance research rigor with agile product timelines.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
• Industry-relevant domain knowledge in finance, e-commerce, gaming, or consumer psychology (a plus).
