Deep Learning Engineer, Pre/Post Training Engineer

We’re an early stage-startup, building one of a kind domain-specific foundation model, trained from scratch in a space with real global impact. With tens of millions in funding from top tier VCs, we’re assembling a small, highly technical and experienced team to push the frontier of what’s possible with large-scale AI.

We’re working on challenges that span from large scale training infrastructure, large scale of data curation, and advanced RL gyms. You’ll tackle tough problems with real impact, while helping to build the product and culture from the ground up.

The Role

We’re looking for highly talented and experienced DL Engineers to join our core team and drive the design and implementation of our product and infrastructure. This is a hands-on role that spans systems design, large-scale training, and experimentation. 

What You’ll Do

• Build deep learning large-scale training infrastructure.
• Build and maintain data pipelines that handle large, messy, real-world datasets.
• Create and perfect complex RL-style training environments (gyms).
• Collaborate closely with the team to move quickly from concepts to production-ready systems.
• Take ownership of projects end-to-end, working across the technological stack where needed.

What We’re Looking For

• Strong experience in deep learning infrastructure and large-scale model training.
• Hands-on experience with modern ML frameworks and distributed compute environments.
• Deep expertise with transformer architectures and large language model training.
• Proficiency in PyTorch/JAX, distributed training frameworks (DeepSpeed, FSDP, etc.)
• Experience with high-performance computing, GPU clusters, and cloud infrastructure.
• Experience with evaluation, fine-tuning, or reinforcement learning is a bonus.

OR / AND

• Strong systems programming skills.
• Experience with large-scale data processing and curation pipelines.
• 5+ years of hands-on experience building meaningful systems with high impact in production and fast-paced environments.
