About the Role

At LAYA, we’re looking for a DevOps Engineer to join our R&D team and take full ownership of our cloud infrastructure on AWS. You’ll play a key role in building automation and AI-driven systems as an integral part of the engineering group. This position combines managing robust, secure cloud environments with leading the design and operation of a brand-new LLM environment and AI automation initiatives across the company.

What You’ll Work On

•      Full ownership and management of AWS infrastructure: CI/CD, Fargate, ECS, S3, WAF, NAT, Subnet, VPC, SQS, SNS, Lambda, EventBridge, etc.
•      Operate and scale our Production and Staging environments, ensuring smooth integration with platforms such as Databricks and MongoDB/SQL.
•      Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines with Terraform for end-to-end infrastructure provisioning.
•      Collaborate proactively with cybersecurity teams to strengthen security controls and ensure compliance across all environments.
•      Design, deploy, and manage LLM infrastructure, and integrate automation tools like n8n and custom AI agents to streamline workflows across teams.
•      Implement monitoring, alerting, and logging systems (e.g., CloudWatch, Grafana, ELK, Datadog, etc.) to ensure high availability, performance, and proactive incident response.
• Prepare and plan for a future migration to Kubernetes, driving forward our evolving infrastructure strategy.

What You Bring

•      2+ years of hands-on experience as a DevOps Engineer in AWS.
•      Strong expertise in Infrastructure as Code (Terraform using HCL) and automation.
•      Proven experience with CI/CD orchestration and Production/Staging/Development environments.
•      Experience with monitoring, logging, and alerting systems.
•      Hands-on interest in AI tools, LLMs, and workflow automation - Advantage.
•      Excellent collaboration skills, especially with other team (security teams, support team, etc.)
•      Highly self-driven, organized, and results-oriented.
•      Familiarity with Databricks or data-driven environments - Advantage.
•      Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field – Advantage.
