Operational Excellence Manager

Maadanot, a leading food production site within the Tnuva Group, is seeking a hands-on Operational Excellence Manager to lead and drive performance improvement across the plant. This is a unique opportunity to take full ownership of both strategic process leadership and on-the-ground implementation – ideal for someone who thrives on both planning and doing.

What you'll do:

• Lead the plant’s operational excellence unit and be part of the site’s management team.
• Serve as the professional authority for implementing and embedding excellence methodologies.
• Coach, mentor, and build capabilities among managers and employees to drive improvements in efficiency, production, service, safety, and quality.
• Engage cross-functional teams, manage resistance, and foster belief and ownership in the process.
• Promote a culture of excellence and communicate achievements across the organization.
• Act as the plant’s performance barometer.
• Implement tools and methodologies such as problem-solving, waste reduction, and S6.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Defining and validating operational standards.
• Setting machine and manpower benchmarks.
• Planning and monitoring process control.

What we're looking for:

• Bachelor's degree (Industrial Engineering preferred) – required.
• Master’s degree – an advantage.
• Minimum 3 years of experience as an Operational Excellence Lead or department manager in a manufacturing environment – required.
• Proven experience in matrix management and project leadership – required.
• High proficiency in MS Office (especially Excel and PowerPoint) – required.
• Experience in leading change and implementing Lean methodologies – strong advantage.
• Background in the food industry – advantage.
• Strong business and systems thinking.
• Excellent stakeholder engagement and influencing skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and flexible hours when needed
