C++ Software Engineer

An innovative startup offering an infrastructure acceleration and performance optimization solution, focusing on AI advancements and Big Data processing challenges in the cloud.

The company is headquartered in Tel Aviv near the train and light rail stations in the northern area, offering a hybrid model with two work-from-home days per week, and employees can choose which office location to use on in-office days.

Founded by two experienced entrepreneurs with senior positions in large international companies, the company is financially well-backed and maintains significant strategic partnerships.

The role reports to the VP of Software and involves C++ development on Linux. Several positions are available, including low-level development and hardware integration, as well as high-level data layer development focused on runtime and data path. The work also involves compiler development and optimization.

Requirements-

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field from a leading university.
• Strong programming proficiency in C++ or Java.
• 5+ years of experience in software development, focusing on high-performance computing.
• Preferred Qualifications:
• Proficiency in Python or Scala for data processing and system development.
• Experience in runtime system development and low-level performance optimization.
• Hands-on experience with big data processing frameworks, such as Apache Spark.
• Solid understanding of columnar storage formats (e.g., Parquet) and their impact on query performance.
• Familiarity with AWS cloud services, including AWS EMR, S3, and EC2.
