Principal Security Researcher

We are seeking an innovative security researcher with experience in cloud and AI security to help build world-leading solutions that keep customers ahead of cyber threats. In this role, you will drive advanced research in AI and cloud security, deliver security solutions from posture management to runtime protection, and collaborate with top security experts, data scientists, and cross-functional teams at Microsoft. Responsibilities

Responsibilities:

• Conduct data-driven research that produces new insights, theories, algorithms, and prototypes that advance Cloud and AI threat protection.
• Investigate, analyze, and learn from security researchers, attackers, and real incidents to develop durable protection strategies across the entire kill-chain.
• Demonstrate leadership in an exceptionally challenging and rewarding environment and influence the organization.
• Collaborate with multiple security research teams across Microsoft and work directly with senior leaders to protect Microsoft and its customers against threats.
• Work closely with product and engineering managers, as well as with leading data scientists and various experts to bring new technologies and mature them from conceptualization to product.
• Attract and cultivate future talents through various programs with an emphasis on diversity and inclusion.
  
  

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

• B.Sc./M.Sc./Ph.D. degree in Computer Science or a related technical discipline or equivalent nonacademic experience
• 12+ years of industry experience.
• Strong understanding of cyber security.
• Experience in Cloud Security.
• Excellent interpersonal’ leadership, and mentoring skills and ability to drive clear cross-team understandings.

Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include, but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings: Microsoft Cloud Background Check:
