Full Stack & AI Engineer

Cover is a fast-growing insurtech startup that leverages AI to make insurance accessible, transparent, and easy – for individuals and businesses.

We are looking for a talented Full-Stack Developer with strong experience in building AI-powered applications and deep knowledge of Prompt Engineering. This role involves end-to-end development of cutting-edge products, integrating AI capabilities into both backend and frontend, and solving complex technical challenges in a dynamic and innovative environment.

What you’ll do:

• Develop and maintain full-stack web applications using Node.js (backend) and React (frontend).
• Integrate AI models and APIs (such as OpenAI, Anthropic, Hugging Face) into core products.
• Design, test, and optimize prompts for Large Language Models (LLMs) to achieve accurate and reliable results.
• Build and consume REST APIs and GraphQL endpoints.
• Design scalable, modular, and maintainable system architecture.
• Collaborate closely with product managers, designers, and data science teams to deliver new features.
• Write high-quality, well-documented code with strong test coverage.

What we’re looking for:

• 3+ years of hands-on experience in Full-Stack development with Node.js and React.
• Proven experience working with AI/LLM-based systems (e.g., ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini).
• Solid expertise in Prompt Engineering and tailoring AI models to business use cases.
• Strong knowledge of JavaScript/TypeScript.
• Experience with relational and/or non-relational databases (SQL/NoSQL).
• Familiarity with cloud environments (AWS, GCP, or Azure).

Bonus Points:

• Background in Machine Learning or Data Engineering.
• Experience with microservices architecture.
• Hands-on experience with CI/CD and DevOps practices.
• Contributions to open-source projects or experience with popular AI frameworks.
