Postdoctoral Researcher

We are seeking a highly motivated Postdoctoral Researcher to join a multidisciplinary project focused on the development and optimization of advanced composite membranes for gas separation, particularly targeting CO₂ capture from flue gases and industrial emissions. The project integrates membrane materials design, fabrication, characterization, and performance evaluation to contribute to next-generation carbon capture technologies. Collaborators will work at the intersection of materials science, chemical engineering, and environmental technology, with opportunities to publish, attend international conferences, and engage with industrial and academic partners.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design and synthesis of novel gas separation membranes.
• Perform experimental work related to membrane fabrication (e.g., mixed matrix membranes, thin film composite membranes).
• Conduct gas permeation tests and material characterization (e.g., SEM, FTIR, TGA, DSC, XRD).
• Supervise junior researchers and assist with lab coordination.
• Publish research findings in peer-reviewed journals and present at conferences.
• Contribute to the preparation of project reports and grant proposals.

Qualifications

• PhD in Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, Polymer Science, Chemistry or a related field.
• Strong experimental skills in membrane fabrication and performance testing.
• Track record of publications in reputable journals.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with composite materials (e.g., MOF/polymer composites).
• Background in carbon capture or environmental engineering is a plus.
