Mission

We’re looking for a Head of DevOps to join our team in our Tel Aviv office (Hybrid) and lead the next phase of DoorLoop’s infrastructure and platform evolution. This is a hands-on leadership role for someone excited to take full ownership of a newly formed DevOps function—building the systems, culture, and capabilities that power scale and velocity across the company.

You’ll be the first to formally lead our new DevOps team, defining how we build and operate mission-critical systems—introducing best practices in Kubernetes, Infrastructure-as-Code, observability, telemetry, progressive rollouts, and SLO-driven operations. You’ll work closely with engineering leadership to create a world-class delivery platform that helps every squad move fast and deliver reliably.

Responsibilities

• Define and own DoorLoop’s DevOps strategy, ensuring platform scalability, performance, and resilience across environments.
• Build and lead a high-impact DevOps team focused on developer productivity, CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure automation, and system reliability.
• Champion cloud-native, event-driven, and containerized architectures (we’re on AWS, using IaC, k8s, Terraform, and friends).
• Enable product squads to own their full lifecycle: provisioning, monitoring, releasing, and incident response - with the tooling and guardrails to move fast and stay safe.
• Evolve and standardize CI/CD practices across squads for consistency, traceability, and fast feedback.
• Drive cost-effective cloud usage through observability, automation, and resource governance.
• Lead operational excellence: incident response, on-call rotations, SLOs, chaos engineering, and proactive reliability improvements.
• Partner with Engineering, Security, and Product to streamline delivery without compromising safety or compliance
  
  

• 3+ years of proven success leading DevOps strategy and high-performance infrastructure teams in a large-scale, cloud-native SaaS company.
• 3+ years managing production-grade cloud infrastructure (e.g., AWS, GCP) using containerization (Kubernetes) and automated Infrastructure-as-Code tools.
• 8+ years as a hands-on senior DevOps engineer in a large-scale, cloud-native SaaS company.
• Demonstrated ownership of mission-critical production environments and successful large-scale migrations to Kubernetes.
• Track record of hands-on leadership that improves scalability, resilience, and developer velocity.
• Proven ability to lead cross-system, cross-team initiatives and act as a force multiplier across the engineering organization.
• Experience as the company’s FinOps and SecOps lead - working directly with the CISO and owning cloud vendor pricing strategy and governance.
• (Preferred) Previous experience building a DevOps team from scratch in a high-scale SaaS company.
• (Preferred) Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related technical field.
