About The Role
Tasks may include stability and control analysis; planning, executing, and analyzing aerodynamic or acoustic tests; aeroelastic and aeroservoelastic analysis; optimizing vehicle design and flight trajectories for minimum noise and structural loads; and participating in the certification process, including developing requirements, planning testing, and generating documentation. Selection, installation and configuration of airspace simulation systems; systems development and conduct real time simulations.
Qualification
- B.S./M.Sc./PhD in aerospace engineering or a related field
- Ph.D., or at least three years of work experience, in aerospace engineering or a related field
- Familiarity with rotorcraft dynamics and aerodynamics preferred
- Experience with rotorcraft comprehensive analysis tools (particularly RCAS) preferred
- Working practical knowledge of CFD design/analysis methods and tools desired
- Experience with aircraft certification preferred
- Experience with planning, supporting, or analyzing wind tunnel and/or flight tests preferred
- Background in aeroacoustics preferred
