System Engineer – Airobotics

Airobotics develops autonomous drone solutions for industrial and public safety applications. Based in Petah Tikva, we design, build, and operate systems that eliminate the need for a human pilot—delivering reliable aerial data at the push of a button. Our autonomous drones operate 24/7 in complex environments, supporting security, inspection, and operational missions with minimal human intervention.

We are looking for a hands-on Systems Engineer to join our multidisciplinary team. In this role, you will work at the intersection of hardware, software, electronics, and mechanical systems—helping shape, build, and integrate our cutting-edge aerial platforms.

This position demands strong engineering intuition, a proactive and collaborative mindset, and the ability to move seamlessly from conceptual system design to hands-on integration and testing—both in the lab and the field.

Key Responsibilities

• Define and manage system-level requirements, interfaces, and architecture
• Lead and support system design, integration, and verification processes
• Collaborate closely with R&D, software, mechanical, and electrical teams throughout the product lifecycle
• Conduct system-level investigations, debugging, and root-cause analysis
• Participate in lab and field testing, including hands-on work with hardware and electronic components
• Prepare and maintain technical documentation and participate in internal design and release reviews
• Translate high-level product goals into clear, actionable engineering tasks and solutions
• Help shape system-level solutions in both new developments and continuous improvements

Required Qualifications

• B.Sc. or M.Sc. in Aerospace, Electrical, Mechanical, or Systems Engineering
• 3+ years of experience in systems engineering or multidisciplinary product development (in mechanical/electronics roles)
• Solid understanding of system architecture, integration, and validation processes
• Practical experience working with electronic hardware and test equipment
• Fluent in English (spoken and written)
• Strong communication and collaboration skills; team-oriented

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with autonomous drones, robotics, or embedded systems
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, iterative development environment
• Familiarity with tools and processes for system-level testing and documentation
• Exposure to real-world deployments or field integration of complex systems
