Team Lead - Geo-Tech Services

The Opportunity 

We’re looking for a Team Leader with a strong background in development, geospatial technologies, and team management to become a key member of our company’s data quality efforts. In this role, you’ll be in charge of outlining and overseeing the building of tools and methods used to ensure the best quality, accuracy and completeness of data and data pipelines. Your work will be pivotal in creating a unified, up-to-date, and accurate utilities map, services, and applications for accelerating our mapping operations. Your contributions will directly impact our core product's success.

Responsibilities

• Manage a multidisciplinary team of GIS developers and analysts, providing technical guidance, feedback and day-to-day support
• Mentor and coach GIS developers, enabling them to reach their full potential
• Lead development efforts in cross-functional settings
• Contribute to designing and implementing automated Python-based GIS workflows, enhancing the quality and accuracy of our data
• Work closely with key stakeholders to align the team’s throughput with our mapping, product, and data quality requirements

Requierments:

• 4+ years of experience as a Software Developer or Support Engineer, with a strong Python background.
• 3+ years of experience in GIS or Civil Engineering theory or practice.
• 2+ years of managerial experience (tech environment or relevant military leadership background)
• Experience with AWS cloud environments, automation, RDBMs
• Experience with Desktop/Web GIS platforms, geoprocessing tools, and GIS formats
