Application Team Leader

We are seeking a talented and driven Application Team Leader to join our growing organization. In this role, you will lead the SPECTRA team, taking ownership of building and architecting our core web application. What You’ll Be Doing

• Lead a cross-functional team of 4 experienced Full Stack Engineers and 1 QA Engineer.
• Be a hands-on contributor: Dedicate approximately 50% of your time to active development - designing and implementing features, writing high-quality code, conducting code reviews, and collaborating with the team on technical design and architecture decisions.
• Drive the development lifecycle of complex, high-impact features - collaborating with stakeholders to define scope, make informed tradeoffs, and guide
• decision-making.
• Partner with senior technical leadership, including staff and principal engineers and AI researchers, on cross-company initiatives.
• Coach and mentor your team members, inspiring growth through individualized career development plans.
• Own and continuously refine the team’s quarterly planning process - balancing long-term vision, current backlog, and immediate operational needs.
• Solve technical challenges alongside your team, addressing both short-term issues and long-term system-level improvements.

Who You Are

• Experienced builder: 5+ years of hands-on experience building and maintaining modern web applications.
• Proven leader: 3+ years managing teams of 3 or more engineers, with a strong record of delivering results.
• Product-focused: Passionate about owning a product’s lifecycle - from vision and requirements to execution and delivery.
• Mentorship-driven: Committed to guiding and growing engineers, helping them reach their professional goals.
• Tech-savvy: Proficient with React, Redux and Python. Bonus for experience with:

• Hands-on with infrastructure: Experience deploying and maintaining systems in on-prem environments.
• AI collaborator: Comfortable working closely with AI teams and integrating ML-driven features.
• Strong communicator: Able to communicate ideas clearly to diverse audiences and build relationships across teams.
• Domain-aware: Familiarity with intelligence, analytics, or related domains is a plus.
• Start-up ready: Comfortable with ambiguity, fast pace, and shifting priorities.
• Growth-oriented: Embraces continuous improvement and approaches challenges with a can-do mindset.
