Quality Assurance Automation Engineer

Role Overview

We are seeking a highly technical QA Automation Engineer with deep expertise in API and backend automation testing, complemented by end-to-end functional and performance automation skills. This role involves designing, building, and maintaining robust test frameworks while creating realistic environments and scenarios to validate the quality, reliability, and security of our platforms.

A major part of the role focuses on building automation for cybersecurity product and use cases, ensuring our solutions meet the highest standards in complex and dynamic environments.

• Design, build, and maintain scalable API and backend automation frameworks for a complex cybersecurity system.
• Develop and execute comprehensive automated test suites for backend, functional, and performance validation.
• Create end-to-end test environments and realistic target scenarios to replicate production-like conditions for accurate testing.
• Automate testing for cybersecurity products and workflows, including validation of detection, protection, and response mechanisms.
• Conduct performance, load, and stress testing to validate scalability and robustness of backend systems.
• Collaborate closely with development, DevOps, and product teams to embed automation within CI/CD pipelines for seamless delivery.
• Use Kubernetes (K8s) for dynamic environment creation, scaling, and orchestration of test workflows.
• Define QA best practices, innovate automation strategies, and mentor junior QA engineers as the team expands.

• 3+ years of experience with API and backend automation testing in complex systems.
• Proficiency with tools like Postman/Newman, REST Assured, Playwright, or custom-built frameworks.
• Experience with programming and scripting (Go experience is a strong advantage).
• Strong expertise in performance and load testing tools (e.g., JMeter, Locust, k6).
• Proven experience in building QA automation for cybersecurity products and use cases.
• Solid knowledge of Kubernetes (K8s) for managing test environments and workloads.
• Ability to design, deploy, and manage complex test systems and data pipelines.
• Excellent problem-solving skills with a detail-oriented mindset.
• Leadership potential with interest in mentoring and guiding QA engineers.
  

• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure).
• Familiarity with GitOps workflows and advanced CI/CD automation.
