A leading scientific organization in Rehovot is seeking an Automation Services Unit Assistant
Responsibilities:
- Programming laboratory automation equipment, including platforms such as Agilent, Tecan, Hamilton, and Beckman Coulter
- Developing scripts in Python and JavaScript to enhance automation processes
- Assisting in the design, validation, and troubleshooting of automated experimental protocols
- Conducting training sessions and workshops for researchers on automation tools and programming practices
- Creating comprehensive documentation, user guides, and learning materials
Requirements:
- M.Sc. in Biology, Biochemistry, Chemistry, Bioinformatics, or Biotechnology – required (Ph.D. – advantage)
- Proven experience in programming and operating laboratory automation platforms (at least one of the following: Tecan, Hamilton, Agilent, Biomek)
- Familiarity with Python and JavaScript – advantage
- High proficiency in English and Hebrew (spoken and written)
- Proven experience in training – required
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
