System Application Engineer – Water AMI Solutions

Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated System Application Engineer to support the deployment and integration of our Advanced Metering Infrastructure (AMI) solutions for water utilities and smart cities applications.

Key Responsibilities:

·      Design and implement scalable AMI system architectures tailored to customer environments, including MIUs, gateways, and head-end systems.

·      Develop RF communication strategies ensuring optimal coverage, reliability, and data throughput.

·      Lead pilot installations and full-scale rollouts, including device provisioning, network commissioning, and system validation.

·      Document and analyze field test results to refine deployment strategies and improve product performance.

·      Support firmware updates and remote configuration of MIUs and gateways.

·      Provide pre-sales and post-sales technical support, including site assessments and solution customization.

·      Deliver technical presentations, training sessions and workshops for customers, partners, and internal teams on system operation, maintenance, and best practices.

·      Monitor system performance post-deployment and recommend enhancements based on analytics and customer feedback.

Required Qualifications:

·      Native or Fluent level English (verbal and written)

·      Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, Computer or related field.

·      2+ years of experience in system engineering/QA, preferably in AMI, IoT, or RF.

·      2+ years of experience in customer technical support.

·      Strong understanding of wireless technologies.

·      Familiarity with protocols such as Modbus, TCP/IP, and proprietary RF stacks.

Preferred Skills

·      Experience working with water utilities or smart metering systems.

·      Knowledge of RF planning tools and network diagnostics.

·      Hands-on experience with embedded systems and firmware debugging.

·      Excellent communication and presentation skills.

·      Strong problem-solving and analytical thinking.

·      Ability to work independently and collaboratively across teams.
