Chief Accountant

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and develop the accounting team, ensuring high performance and professional growth.
• Ensure timely and accurate reporting to global headquarters and regional management.
• Review financial statements in compliance with IFRS, local GAAP, and KONE accounting standards.
• Drive continuous improvement, automation, and digitalization in accounting processes.
• Oversee tax matters, including VAT, corporate taxes, and other statutory obligations.
• Manage general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and fixed assets processes.
• Oversee intercompany transactions, reconciliations, and transfer pricing compliance.
• Oversee cash management, bank reconciliations, and treasury reporting.
• Monitor and optimize working capital (AR, AP, inventory) in collaboration with Finance and Operations teams.

Educational Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Certified Public Accountant (CPA).

Professional Experience

• Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in accounting and financial reporting, preferably in a global or multinational environment.
• Strong background in IFRS and local statutory reporting requirements.
• Hands-on experience with ERP systems (SAP is an advantage).

Leadership & Management

• Demonstrated experience in managing and developing accounting/finance teams.
• Ability to lead cross-functional collaboration with Finance, Operations, Legal, and Procurement.
• Strong stakeholder management skills, including direct interaction with senior leadership and global headquarters.

Skills & Competencies

• Excellent technical accounting knowledge combined with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• High attention to detail, with the ability to also see the “big picture.”
• Strong communication skills (verbal and written), with fluency in English.
