Hardware Validation Engineer – Temporary Position (5 Months)

A leading high-tech company is seeking a Hardware Validation Engineer for a temporary 5-month position. This hands-on role involves validating chip-level modules in a lab environment, combining hardware testing, scripting, debugging, and working with global teams.

Job Description:

In this role, you will lead end-to-end validation of a module on a chip during its bring-up phase. Your work will include building test infrastructure, working with lab equipment (TME), writing and running automation scripts, analyzing test results, and debugging issues at the silicon and signal level. The position requires close collaboration with engineering teams both in Israel and abroad.

Responsibilities:

• Execute a detailed validation plan for a chip module during bring-up.
• Daily hands-on work in a hardware lab with TME: oscilloscope, logic analyzer, signal/function generator, DMM, etc.
• Write and execute Python scripts (or C/C++) to automate tests, collect logs, generate reports, and analyze data.
• Debug hardware issues based on schematics, datasheets, and measurements.
• Collaborate effectively with local and international R&D teams.

Requirements:

• Minimum 1 year of hands-on experience working in a hardware lab (post-academic only – not from university projects).
• Proven experience operating test and measurement equipment (e.g., oscilloscope, logic analyzer, DMM, function generator).
• Experience with hardware validation, preferably in silicon, SoC, or embedded systems.
• Scripting experience in Python (C or other scripting languages also acceptable).
• Ability to analyze measurement results, identify anomalies, and debug issues at signal and logic levels.
• Ability to read and understand schematics and technical datasheets.
• Strong technical English (spoken and written) and strong teamwork skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Background in hardware QA, validation, or lab testing.
• Education in Electrical Engineering or related field – academic degree not mandatory, but relevant training (e.g., practical engineering certification) is a strong advantage.
• Military experience in relevant technical units – will be considered if all other requirements are met.
• Candidates from technician/lab backgrounds may be considered only if they performed hands-on validation tasks (not just assisting or following instructions).

This is a hands-on, hardware-focused position. Candidates with purely software experience will not be considered.
