System Engineer – Avionics Communication Systems

Our Aviation Group is seeking a System Engineer specializing in Avionics Communication Systems for advanced airborne mission and communication computers. This role offers the opportunity to shape next-generation operational capabilities for the Israeli Air Force and international customers, working on some of the most advanced aircraft upgrade programs worldwide.

Responsibilities:

• Lead system engineering activities for airborne mission and communication computers on combat platforms, enhancing operational mission capabilities.
• Define, specify, and write requirements and specifications for hardware, software, and infrastructure.
• Prepare and conduct design reviews (PDR, CDR).
• Perform integration and system testing in both laboratory and aircraft environments.
• Develop acceptance test procedures and flight test requirements, and analyze results.
• Provide end-to-end project support: development, testing, flight trials, production, and customer interface.
• Ensure compliance with project milestones, deliverables, and quality standards.
• Collaborate with external stakeholders including customers, subcontractors, and partners.

Requirements:

• BSc in Aerospace, Computer, or Electrical & Electronics Engineering – mandatory.
• MSc in Systems Engineering – advantage.
• Experience/knowledge in airborne C4I, radio, or data communication systems – mandatory.
• Strong technical English skills (reading, writing, speaking) – mandatory.
• Familiarity with military avionics systems, interfaces, and standards – strong advantage.
• Experience in the design, development, and integration of multidisciplinary systems, preferably avionics – advantage.
• Background in the Israeli Air Force in avionics system engineering, flight testing, or technical-operational roles – advantage.
• Knowledge/experience in RF, digital modulation, waveforms, and communication protocols – advantage.
