The Mission

To lead and manage the strategic relationships between the Tel Aviv-Yafo Municipality, academia, and the local tech industry. The manager will be responsible for connecting the evolving needs of our ecosystem – from startups to multinational corporations – with sources of knowledge, innovation, and talent in academia, using advanced tools and technologies. The role is designed to ensure the continued status of Tel Aviv as a no. 4 global innovation hub and a magnet for talent, by creating synergy among all stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement a strategy to strengthen ties with academia and the industry, with the goal of fostering innovation and economic growth in the city.
• Maintain a deep understanding of the changing needs of the city's ecosystem, including breakthrough technologies, global trends, and labor market demands.
• Build and manage strategic partnerships with academic institutions (universities, colleges, research institutes), technology companies (startups, growth companies, multinational corporations), and public sector entities.
• Promote joint ventures (pilots, research and development programs) that provide solutions to complex challenges.
• Create mechanisms to connect talented students and graduates with the local industry, while encouraging entrepreneurship and career development in the city.
• Manage ongoing communication channels and events (hackathons, conferences, workshops) to disseminate knowledge, nurture talent, and build a vibrant community.

Job Requirements

Minimum Qualifications:

• Education: Bachelor's degree - a must; Master's degree - an advantage, preferably in a relevant field such as Business Administration, Innovation, Public Policy, Computer Science, etc.
• Experience: At least 3 years of proven experience in managing academia-industry relations or a senior business development/partnerships role in the fields of technology and innovation.
• Language: Full proficiency in both Hebrew and English.

Additional Requirements:

• Ability to lead complex processes and manage projects from end-to-end.
• Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and motivate people and create effective working relationships.
• Efficiency, proven execution capabilities, quick learning skills, and the ability to work independently.
• Impressive verbal and written communication skills and public speaking abilities.
• Native-level or very high proficiency in English – speaking, reading, and writing.
• Deep familiarity with the entrepreneurial ecosystem in Tel Aviv and Israel.

  Working Hours: Full-time position, Sunday-Thursday, 9:00-17:30.

Availability: Willingness to work intensively during non-standard hours is essential.

 Location: Offices are in Tel Aviv.

תל אביב טק, מח' פיתוח כלכלי בינלאומי

מטרת התפקיד

להוביל ולנהל את הקשרים האסטרטגיים בין עיריית תל אביב-יפו, האקדמיה ותעשיית הטק המקומית. המנהל/ת יהיה/תהיה אחראי/ת על חיבור הצרכים המשתנים של האקוסיסטם העירוני - מסטארט-אפים ועד חברות ענק - למקורות ידע, חדשנות וטאלנט באקדמיה, תוך שימוש בכלים וטכנולוגיות מתקדמות. התפקיד נועד להבטיח את המשך מעמדה של תל אביב-יפו כמרכז חדשנות עולמי וכמגנט לכישרונות, על ידי יצירת סינרגיה בין כלל הגורמים.

עיקרי התפקיד

 פיתוח ויישום אסטרטגיה לחיזוק הקשרים עם האקדמיה והתעשייה, במטרה לקדם חדשנות וצמיחה כלכלית בעיר.    

מיפוי הצרכים המשתנים באקוסיסטם הכלכלי של העיר, לרבות טכנולוגיות פורצות דרך, טרנדים גלובליים ודרישות שוק העבודה.

·      בניית וניהול שותפויות אסטרטגיות עם מוסדות אקדמיים (אוניברסיטאות, מכללות, מכוני מחקר), חברות טכנולוגיה (סטארט-אפים, חברות צמיחה, תאגידים רב-לאומיים) וגופים מהמגזר הציבורי.

·      קידום מיזמים משותפים (פיילוטים, תוכניות מחקר ופיתוח) שיתנו מענה לאתגרים מורכבים.

·      יצירת מנגנונים לחיבור בין סטודנטים ובוגרים מוכשרים לתעשייה המקומית, תוך עידוד יזמות ופיתוח קריירה בעיר.

·      ניהול שוטף של ערוצי תקשורת ואירועים (האקתונים, כנסים, סדנאות) במטרה להפיץ ידע, לטפח כישרונות וליצור קהילה ענפה.

דרישות התפקיד:

תנאי סף:

• תואר ראשון – חובה, תואר שני – יתרון; יתרון לבעלי תואר בתחום רלוונטי כגון: מנהל עסקים, חדשנות, מדיניות ציבורית, מדעי המחשב וכו'
• לפחות 3 שנות ניסיון מוכח בניהול קשרי אקדמיה-תעשייה או ניסיון בפיתוח עסקי/שותפויות אסטרטגיות בתחומי הטכנולוגיה והחדשנות.
• שליטה מלאה בשפה העברית ובשפה האנגלית.

דרישות נוספות:

• יכולת הובלת תהליכים מורכבים וניהול פרויקטים מקצה לקצה.
• יחסי אנוש מעולים, יכולת רתימה והנעה של אנשים ויצירת ממשקי עבודה אפקטיביים.
• יעילות, יכולת ביצוע מוכחת, יכולת למידה מהירה ועבודה עצמאית.
• כושר ביטוי מרשים בעל פה ובכתב ויכולות עמידה מול קהל. אנגלית ברמת שפת אם או רמה גבוהה מאוד – דיבור, קריאה וכתיבה.
• היכרות עמוקה עם האקוסיסטם היזמי בתל אביב-יפו ובארץ.
