Role Description

You will be involved in developing and implementing physical models and numerical simulations for radiative transfer in harsh environments, such as those encountered in hypersonic flight, rocket plumes, and electro-optical signature prediction.

This position plays a key role in very important projects, requiring a rigorous understanding of:

• Radiative transfer and emission/absorption physics (visible–IR range)
• Fluid mechanics and compressible flow regimes
• Heat transfer and thermodynamic modeling (conduction, convection, radiation)
• Spectral databases and radiative property modeling (e.g., HITRAN, MODTRAN)

Qualifications

We are seeking a candidate with the following background:

• 🎓 Degree in Physics, Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field
• 🧠 Strong foundations in fluid dynamics, heat transfer, and radiation physics
• 💻 Experience in numerical modeling (e.g., MATLAB, Python, C++, Fortran, or COMSOL/ANSYS)
• 🛰️ Familiarity with infrared detection, EO/IR sensor modeling, or hypersonic flows is a plus
