Employees pay for expensive, often ill-fitting insurance, and even simple medical care can lead to tens of thousands of dollars in debt.

This is where Zorro comes in – a startup founded in 2022 with the mission of transforming the U.S. health insurance landscape.

We are looking for a Lead Product Manager who will be the first person in the organization to build our In-House payments infrastructure (until now, this was handled by an external provider). This is a strategic, high-impact role with 80% inbound work.

Role Overview 🚀

• Lead the vision, strategy, and roadmap for payments and financial infrastructure.
• Build core systems: employer financing, FBO accounts, general ledger, virtual cards, ACH, and premium payments.
• Lead end-to-end: discovery → requirements → launch → scale.
• Translate complex regulations into clear, actionable product requirements.
• Maintain high standards for information security and compliance (PCI, HIPAA, IRS).
• Collaborate with engineering, design, operations, legal teams, and payment/banking partners.

Requirements ✅

• 7+ years of product management experience, including at least 4 years in payments or financial infrastructure – experience in payments is mandatory.
• Strong technical background: experience with APIs, comfortable with architecture reviews, and data fluency.
• Deep knowledge of Issuing, Processing, ACH, KYC/AML, and Fraud.
• Degree in Engineering or Sciences.
• Ability to drive execution, dive into details, think strategically, and influence through clear communication.
• Bonus: Experience with Stripe/Unit/Lithic, Healthtech/Insurtech background, or software development experience.
