DevOps Software Engineer with a Focus on AI Integration

Job Summary:

Camtek is searching for a talented and proactive DevOps Software Engineer to join our Application Development team. In this role, you'll support and enhance our current implementation while being at the forefront of integrating and implementing AI tools and methodologies to support and improve our development teams and processes. You'll work in a Windows-based environment, leveraging our existing stack: Azure DevOps Services (Pipelines, Repos, Artifacts, and Boards), Azure Functions, and Azure Web Apps. We're looking for someone with hands-on experience in C#, C++, MSBuild, and solution (.sln) troubleshooting, who can work across both our existing cloud and on-prem infrastructure. This position is at the forefront of applying innovative AI-powered solutions for log parsing and beyond, all to empower our developers while maintaining and improving our current systems.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support, maintain, and enhance our current CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps Services, with an emphasis on leveraging AI to optimize and automate steps.
• Maintain and troubleshoot existing builds for C# and C++ projects using MSBuild, including managing .sln issues, dependencies, and build optimizations.
• Implement and integrate AI-driven tools to enhance our existing DevOps processes, including log parsing and incident correlation.
• Develop and maintain automation scripts using PowerShell, Python, or Batch, with a focus on creating intelligent, adaptive automation that complements our current systems.
• Deploy, configure, and monitor applications using Azure Functions and Azure Web Apps.
• Collaborate with development and QA teams to streamline software delivery, using Azure Boards for sprint and task tracking.
• Manage our existing infrastructure environments on both Microsoft Azure and on-premises VMware platforms, including Broadcom vSphere.
• Monitor system performance and troubleshoot deployment or infrastructure issues, using AI-powered observability tools to identify root causes faster.
• Use Git and Git LFS within Azure Repos to manage codebases and large binary files.
• Communicate with external suppliers regarding DevOps-related tools, services, and infrastructure components.
• Maintain detailed documentation for DevOps procedures, tooling, and build configurations.

Required Qualifications:

• B.Sc. in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• 3+ years of experience in a DevOps, build engineering, or systems integration role.
• Strong hands-on experience with Windows OS, and scripting in PowerShell.
• knowledge of C#, C++, and Python project structure, compilation, and debugging within the Visual Studio/.NET environment.
• Proven experience with AI-driven tools for DevOps automation, observability, or other related applications.
• Proficiency in MSBuild, including managing custom build steps and resolving build errors.
• Hands-on experience with Azure DevOps Services, especially Pipelines, Repos, Boards, and Artifacts.
• Proficiency in Git and Git LFS for source control.
• Experience deploying and maintaining solutions on Azure Functions and Azure Web Apps.
• Strong English communication skills (written and spoken), essential for documentation, collaboration, and supplier interaction.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience working in a multidisciplinary company.
• Experience managing hybrid infrastructure (cloud + on-prem VM environments).
• Familiarity with Windows-based log monitoring and performance tools.
• Exposure to cloud-hosted Windows environments using Microsoft Azure.
• Excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and a proactive mindset.
• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to thrive in a cross-functional, fast-paced environment.
