Quality Assurance Technical Lead

PlainID, a leading startup in the IAM space, is looking for a QA Tech Lead to drive the quality strategy of our product. In this role, you’ll define and implement testing methodologies, ensure product reliability across complex environments, and lead QA initiatives that align with business and technology needs. Our solution is a SaaS multi-tenant platform built on Java, Go, and React, with a microservices architecture. We work in an Agile environment with TDD/BDD and extreme programming practices, completing the full CI/CD lifecycle.

As a QA Tech Lead, you will:

● Be responsible for cross R&D quality activities from working processes, tools design, test plan, execution, coverage and bugs

● Master the authorization solution established by PlainID customers and act as the quality authority within the R&D to make sure we deliver a zero defect product

● Be fully hands-on in designing, implementing, and executing both manual and automated tests (preferred in Java) to ensure test completeness.

● Test in fast-paced environments and are highly skilled at deep-diving into complex problems to identify their root cause.

● Establish a culture of quality by driving continuous improvement in testing processes and methodologies, working closely with development teams and product teams, by setting KPIs and improving them over time

Role requirements:

• 5 years of hands-on experience with SaaS platform manual QA and automation, preferred in Java/GO.
• Strong proficiency with SQL, Postman, and BE API testing.
• Hands-on experience working with Linux and CI tools in a cloud environment, such as Kubernetes, AWS, GitLab.
• Authorization/Identity Product business processes experience
• Thorough familiarity with the Software Development Life Cycle within an Agile environment.
• Tools experience: Zephyr, Postman, Java-TestNG framework, other scripting languages.
• Experience with AI tools
• Hands-on experience building test plans and automation tests.
• Independent, persistent, and "getting things done" person - a must.
