Internship & Volunteering Placement Coordinator

Aardvark Israel, one of Masa's largest and most successful gap year programs, is seeking a motivated and organized individual to join our team in Tel Aviv.  As the Volunteer and Internship Placement Coordinator, you will play a crucial role in creating meaningful professional and educational experiences for our participants. Program participants, ages 17-21, come from all over the world and all streams of Judaism, and the program is conducted in English.

Primary responsibilities:

• Match participants with placements: Conduct interviews to understand participants' goals and skills, then match them with suitable internship and volunteer opportunities.
• Provide ongoing support: Offer guidance, feedback, and troubleshooting support to participants throughout their placements to ensure a successful experience.
• Manage relationships: Cultivate and maintain strong, positive relationships with partner companies and organizations.
• Expand our network: Proactively identify and secure new internship and volunteer placements to grow our portfolio of opportunities.
• Collaborate with staff: Work closely with the program team to ensure seamless communication and a cohesive experience for all participants.

Requirements:

• English and Hebrew at a high level - reading, writing and speaking
• Experience working with Diaspora Jewry
• Ability to work successfully both independently and as part of a team
• Ability to integrate educational and professional dimensions
• Rosh gadol, motivated, excellent people-skills, and passion for Israel
