Job Description

To provide high-quality instruction in both English language and computer skills to students. The teacher will enhance students' proficiency in reading, writing, speaking, and listening, while also teaching essential computer applications. This role is crucial for empowering students with the language and digital skills necessary for their academic success and future opportunities, all within a supportive and inclusive learning environment.

Major Responsibilities

• Conduct English language and computer classes according to the ASTA project curriculum at designated locations.
• Develop and implement daily lesson plans that align with curriculum standards for both subjects.
• Ensure the delivery of high-quality education that meets organizational standards.
• Distribute educational materials to students in a timely manner.
• Create a safe and engaging learning environment that encourages active participation.
• Maintain regular communication with the provincial coordinator and report any concerns.
• Monitor and maintain student attendance, homework, and assignments.
• Regularly assess student progress through quizzes, tests, and practical assignments in both English and computer skills.
• Provide constructive feedback and support to facilitate student growth and development.
  
  

Job Requirements

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in English, Computer Science, Education, or a related field.
• Proven experience of at least 3 years as a teacher, preferably in both English and computer education.
• Fluency in English, Dari, and Pashto.
• Strong knowledge of methodologies for teaching English and computer skills, including Microsoft Office applications.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Passion for education and commitment to fostering a positive learning environment.
  
  

Ability to inspire and motivate students, especially marginalized and disabled students.
