Senior Board Design Engineer

An innovative communications hardware company in Central Area is seeking a Senior Board Design Engineer with over 5 years of hands-on experience in developing FPGA High-Speed digital boards/systems.

Job Description and Responsibilities

• HW design and development (5+ years), including: HW architecture, board and system design, schematics, PCB layout, lab and field integration, debugging, tests and validation.
• Leading a full HW development process from requirements to final production release.
• Knowledge and experience with a range of digital board/systems: FPGA, Micro-Controllers, High-speed buses, power trees (DC-DCs, LDOs), memories (DDR3/4, eMMC & Flash), Ethernet, WiFi, GPS, and communication protocols (JTAG, I2C, SPI, SDIO, UART over RS-232, RS422/485).
• Coordinating design with mechanical, software, and FPGA engineers.
• Solid understanding of HW system tests, HW-SW integration, board bring-up, and debug skills.
• Laboratory hands-on experience with equipment such as DVM, oscilloscope, spectrum analyzer, and network analyzer.
• Supporting design changes, malfunction debugging, and improvements.
• Experience with writing technical documents and NPI (New Product Introduction).
• Supporting and maintaining current product lines.

Job Qualifications

• B.Sc. in Electrical Engineering - MUST.
• 5+ years of hands-on experience with digital systems - MUST.
• MIL-STD experience – major advantage.
• FPGA knowledge (Xilinx) – advantage.
• Experience with Altium Designer for schematics & PCB layout – advantage.
• FPGA RTL modeling – advantage.
• SW C/C++ modeling – advantage.
