Security Research Team Lead

As the Security Research Team Lead, you will head a team of researchers focused on web security, browser internals, AI security, AI browsers, and DLP attack paths. You will be responsible for designing research methodologies, driving innovation, and ensuring our findings feed directly into product improvements, customer protection, and industry thought leadership.

This role requires technical depth, leadership skills, and industry presence.

You will publish cutting-edge research, represent the company at top conferences, and influence the direction of our product roadmap.

We’re looking for a Security Research Team Lead to build and guide our research team, shaping the company’s innovation path and the global conversation around modern cyber threats.

Responsibilities:

• Research Leadership: Define and execute innovative research strategies in browser security, AI-driven threats, vulnerability exploitation, and attack paths relevant to data exfiltration.
• Team Management: Build, mentor, and lead a high-performing security research team.
• Methodology Development: Establish frameworks and methodologies for threat modeling, vulnerability discovery, and attack simulations.
• Thought Leadership: Publish high-quality research papers, blogs, and reports. Present findings at leading cybersecurity conferences and events.
• Product Innovation: Collaborate with R&D and Product teams to transform research insights into security features, detection mechanisms, and protective controls.
• Tool Development and operate research infrastructure: Maintain labs, sandboxes, datasets, pipelines, and safe testing environmentsMaintain research infrastructure, including labs, sandboxes, datasets, pipelines, and secure testing environments.
• Industry Engagement: Stay ahead of the changing threat landscape and represent the company in global security forums, partnerships, and standardization efforts.
  
  

• 8 + years in cybersecurity research, with proven expertise in web security, browsers, AI/ML threats, and exploitation of web vulnerabilities.
• Demonstrated track record of original research (e.g., conference talks, published papers, vulnerability discoveries).
• Hands-on experience with browser internals, web protocols, or AI model security.
• Strong leadership skills with experience managing or mentoring researchers.
• Ability to operate at both strategic and hands-on levels
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.

• Previous experience in a startup environment.
• Previous experience in Penetatation testing.
• Strong industry network and presence in the global security research community.
