Job Description

Job Summary

The IT Technician is responsible for managing the installation and troubleshooting of Wireless, Microwave, and VSAT links. The role includes resolving issues related to LAN network devices and addressing computer-related problems for customers through in-person support, phone consultations, or remote assistance. Additionally, the IT Technician provides technical support regarding computer operating systems, software applications, email configuration, installation processes, printing solutions, and the maintenance of customer LAN networks.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Perform installation, activation, and troubleshooting of wireless links in accordance with company guidelines.
• Execute the installation, activation, and troubleshooting of microwave links following established protocols.
• Conduct installation, activation, and troubleshooting of VSAT links while adhering to company policies.
• Install and configure LAN network devices to meet customer requirements effectively.
• Troubleshoot LAN network devices and provide the best solution in case of second option availability.
• Conduct surveys for network projects, arrange requirements, and implement solutions as needed.
• DVR camera wiring, installation, and configuring based on the requirement.
• UAT wireless base stations maintenance and resolving 1st level base station issues (in cooperation with Head Office)
• Installing Wire and Wireless equipment at UA wireless base stations and ensuring 100% functionality upon completion.
• Integrating technical solutions successfully done on-site and sharing it with other team members for future use.
• Detailed daily and weekly reports to under-assigned manager.
  
  

Qualifications

Job Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science and/ or relevant field.
• A minimum of 3 years of experience in network installation and troubleshooting or relevant field.
• Relevant certifications (e.g., Cisco CCNA, MCITP or equivalent) will be considered an advantage.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to communicate technical information effectively.
• Full understanding and speaking of Dari, Pashto, and English language.
