We are looking for a curious and innovative Applied R&D Engineer to join a multidisciplinary team and tackle complex challenges in electrochemical and fluid systems.
This is not just about testing existing concepts โ youโll be at the forefront of developing new ideas, building physical models, and designing experiments that push system performance to new limits.
๐น What youโll do
- Design and execute experiments on multiphase flow, heat/mass transfer, and electrochemical behavior.
- Develop physical models to predict performance, identify failure modes, and spot optimization opportunities.
- Integrate experimental data with modeling to extract insights and validate theories.
- Collaborate across teams to translate findings into hardware and process innovations.
๐น What weโre looking for
- MSc or PhD in Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Physics, or related field.
- Proven background in R&D โ either academic or industrial.
- Strong foundation in fluid dynamics, heat/mass transport, and physical modeling.
- Hands-on experience designing and running lab or system-scale experiments.
- First-principles thinker with creativity and conceptual innovation.
- Familiarity with modeling/simulation tools (COMSOL, ANSYS, MATLAB, Python frameworks) โ advantage.
- Experience with electrolyzers, gas-liquid systems, or hydrogen/oxygen systems โ advantage.
