Founding Engineer – Voice AI

KompanionAI is building the first fully autonomous sales agent that actually talks like a real human Sales representative. Think of it as your best sales rep cloned, tireless, and ready to cold call 100 leads a day with zero burnout.

We've already started real pilots with design partners.

The team comes from the trenches of sales and B2B SaaS — we’ve lived the pain, scaled teams, and hit the wall with traditional outbound. We know this domain inside out.

We’ve already validated the problem and opportunity with over 100 companies, and now we’re looking for a hands-on founding engineer to help us turn this vision into scale, from the ground up.

This is a founding-level role with equity only (no salary at the beginning).

It’s a fit for someone looking for the entrepreneurial journey- the adventure of building from scratch with a calculated risk. The heavy lifting of validation and setup is already behind us, and now we’re looking for a tech partner eager to lead the technology, learn, and grow alongside an experienced business team. Whether you’re looking to build something from scratch or dip your toes into a meaningful product with a path to ownership, we’d love to talk.

About the Job:

• Build the backend architecture for real-time AI phone conversations
• Integrate ASR/TTS (e.g. Deepgram, ElevenLabs), and LLMs (e.g. GPT-4, Claude)
• Manage contact + memory systems (transcripts, logs, actions, enrichment)
• Create flows that trigger tasks, appointments, and CRM events
• Design the first version of the agent's control panel / internal logic
• Work closely with the founding team on product decisions and roadmap
• Choose the stack. Set the standards. Build the team.

Job Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a relevant field (Master's degree is a plus).
• Hands-on experience in ML, NLP, or Voice AI
• Solid backend engineering skills — Python / Node / TypeScript
• Experience with LLMs (OpenAI, Claude, open source) and ASR/TTS (e.g. Deepgram, ElevenLabs)
• Ability to ship fast, learn fast, and not panic when things break
• Ability to connect backend to frontend and own the full cycle
• Bonus: You’ve worked on voice apps, call centers, chatbots, or agent frameworks
• You’re not afraid to join before it’s cool
