Manufacturing Technologist

The Engineering & Systems Division of the Missiles and Space Systems Group is seeking a Manufacturing Technologist (Electronics) to support electronic board production at subcontractors.

What you’ll be doing:

• Provide engineering support for electronic board manufacturing processes at subcontractors
• Manage the transition of electronic boards from development to production
• Introduce new work processes into manufacturing
• Handle SMT (Surface Mount Technology) component assembly using placement machines

What we’re looking for:

• Degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering (Engineer or Practical Engineer) – mandatory
• Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience working with subcontractors in PCB manufacturing – mandatory
• Proven experience in transitioning electronic boards from development to production – mandatory
• Proficient in reading electronic and mechanical drawings – mandatory
• Hands-on experience with SMT component assembly using placement machines – mandatory
• Solid understanding of materials and components used in electronic assemblies – mandatory
• Experience in writing technical documentation – mandatory
• Familiarity with IPC standards for electronic board manufacturing – mandatory
• Ability to lead and take initiative independently
• Strong interpersonal skills and process management capabilities
