DevOps Engineer

We are seeking a skilled DevOps Engineer to join our dynamic 2-person team at a fast-growing company managing a complex microservices architecture on AWS. You'll be responsible for maintaining and optimizing our Kubernetes-based infrastructure, implementing cost-effective solutions using spot instances and GitOps practices, while ensuring high availability and performance of our sports betting platform. This role requires deep hands-on experience with AWS services, advanced Kubernetes networking, and proactive problem-solving skills to support our 50+ microservices across multiple environments. You'll work closely with development teams to streamline CI/CD pipelines, optimize costs through FinOps practices, and maintain security compliance across our infrastructure.

Requirements

3-4 years of hands-on DevOps experience with deep expertise in AWS architecture, EKS, and Kubernetes runtime operations including pod scheduling, networking (CNI, Karpenter), and troubleshooting complex cluster issues

Infrastructure as Code mastery with Terraform for AWS resource management, Helm templating for complex application deployments, and GitOps workflows using ArgoCD for declarative infrastructure management

Advanced AWS services knowledge including cost optimization with spot/reserved instances, VPC networking, S3, RDS PostgreSQL, Redis, MSK/Kafka, Kinesis Firehose, IAM, and VPC endpoints for optimizing data transfer costs

Monitoring and observability expertise with Grafana Cloud, Prometheus, and custom alerting systems, plus strong Linux networking and bash scripting skills for automation and troubleshooting

FinOps and SecOps experience implementing cost monitoring, security best practices, performance optimization, and maintaining high availability across multi-AZ deployments

Microservices architecture experience with GitHub Actions CI/CD, Python scripting, container optimization, and proven problem-solving abilities in high-pressure production environments
