Infrastructure & Application DBA Team Leader

We are looking for an Infrastructure & Application DBA Team Leader to lead and manage the DBA team responsible for SQL Server databases across multiple product lifecycle environments, from development to mission-critical production systems.

This leadership role combines technical expertise with team management, offering a dynamic work environment and opportunities for professional growth.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead, mentor, and manage the Infrastructure & Application DBA team.
• Oversee SQL Server database management across multiple environments (24/7).
• Ensure efficient troubleshooting, performance tuning, and optimization of databases.
• Maintain and improve database monitoring processes and best practices.
• Collaborate with R&D teams and other stakeholders to ensure smooth operations and project delivery.
• Plan, prioritize, and delegate team tasks to meet objectives and deadlines.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives within the team and database operations.

Requirements:

• Proven experience as an Application & Infrastructure DBA, ideally 4+ years in Production environments.
• Strong technical expertise in SQL Server, T-SQL, performance tuning, and relational database theory.
• Experience managing enterprise database environments.
• Strong leadership, mentoring, and team management skills.
• Excellent collaboration skills, with experience working closely with R&D teams.
• Good level of English & Hebrew.
• BSc in Computer Science, Engineering, or Mathematics.
• Knowledge of MSSQL Server (2019, 2022), High Availability processes, and Transaction Replication.
• Experience with modern programming languages (C#, Python) and NoSQL technologies (Snowflake, MongoDB, Redis, Spark).
• PowerShell scripting experience and familiarity with CI/CD processes.
• Knowledge or experience with Kibana, TeamCity, and GIT.
• Strong problem-solving, strategic planning, and process improvement skills.
