Position Overview

We are seeking a tech-savvy professional to spearhead automation and digital transformation at our boutique investment firm, with a focus on Large Language Model (LLM) research and implementation for financial applications. This role combines strategic thinking with hands-on technical execution, bridging business requirements with cutting-edge AI/ML solutions.

Key Responsibilities

LLM Research & Financial AI Implementation

• Lead research and development of Large Language Models for financial use cases including document analysis, market sentiment analysis, and investment research automation
• Design and implement LLM-powered solutions for financial document processing, regulatory compliance, and client communication
• Develop custom AI agents to conduct research and automate tasks
• Stay current with the latest developments in financial AI, including RAG systems, fine-tuning techniques, and prompt engineering

Investor Intelligence & Relationship Analytics

• Build sophisticated data analysis frameworks using machine learning for contact enrichment and investor-investment matching with real-time dashboards and alternative data integration
• Create automated contact enrichment systems and intelligent segmentation algorithms that enhance profiles and enable personalized investment recommendations

Automation & Process Optimization

• Design and implement intelligent data pipelines and workflow automation systems
• Integrate AI/ML tools and LLMs into existing business processes for maximum efficiency
• Automate repetitive tasks in research, compliance, reporting, and client management

Strategic Planning & Technical Leadership

• Develop comprehensive business requirements documents for AI initiatives and implementation roadmaps for technology stack modernization
• Conduct gap analysis of current systems to identify LLM integration opportunities and create cost-benefit analyses for proposed solutions

Leadership & Collaboration

• Work directly with senior management on AI strategy
• Translate complex AI/ML concepts for non-technical stakeholders while mentoring team members on new AI tools and processes

Required Qualifications & Technical Skills

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Finance, Engineering, or a related quantitative field
• 3–5 years of experience in automation, data analysis, or AI/ML implementation
• Strong proficiency in Python, Machine Learning, SQL, Vector Databases, and JavaScript
• Hands-on experience with LLM frameworks (OpenAI API and SDK, Langchain, Langsmith, Hugging Face, etc.)
• Experience with AI/ML frameworks (TensorFlow, PyTorch, scikit-learn)
• Knowledge of vector databases, RAG systems, and prompt engineering
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) focusing on AI/ML services
• Experience with process automation tools (UiPath, Blue Prism, Power Automate, Make.com, n8n.io, or similar)
• Strong familiarity with Microsoft software suite (Office 365, Power Platform, Azure, SharePoint, Teams)
• Advanced experience with data visualization tools (Tableau, Power BI, or D3.js)
• Experience with statistical analysis and quantitative research methods
• Knowledge of API development and integration, particularly for AI services
