Senior GitOps Platform Engineer

You will be part of Mobileye's REM department. Mobileye’s Road Experience Management (REM) is an end-to-end mapping and localization engine which is used for full autonomy capabilities and services.

We are seeking an experienced and innovative Senior Platform Engineer to orchestrate the evolution of our cutting-edge GitOps platform. This role is ideal for an engineer with a strong software development background who is passionate about building scalable platforms and developer tools. As the driving force behind our platform innovation strategy, you will be responsible for creating robust self-service solutions, ensuring the stability of our CI/CD workflows, and spearheading large-scale projects in collaboration with stakeholders and engineering managers.

What will your job look like

• Architect, implement, and drive the strategic direction of our GitOps platform, leveraging ArgoCD and Helm on Amazon EKS.
• Develop and maintain user-friendly, self-service tools and automation to empower our engineering teams and accelerate development cycles.
• Own and enhance our GitLab CI pipelines, ensuring they are stable, performant, and scalable to meet the demands of a growing organization.
• Apply software engineering best practices to design, develop, and maintain robust platform tools, services, and automation using Python, Bash, and Node.js.
• Direct complex, cross-functional projects from conception to completion. Work closely with developers, engineering managers, and other stakeholders to gather requirements, drive adoption, and communicate progress.
• Champion DevOps and GitOps best practices across the organization and mentor other team members.
  
  

• 5+ years of hands-on experience with AWS, including deep expertise in production workloads on Amazon EKS.
• Strong software development background with proven ability to write clean, production-ready code and deep understanding of the full SDLC.
• Hands-on experience with GitOps principles and ArgoCD, plus extensive knowledge in building and optimizing CI/CD pipelines using GitLab CI.
• Strong proficiency with Helm for Kubernetes deployments.
• Solid coding skills in Python and Bash (Node.js is a plus).
• A track record of owning and successfully delivering large-scale technical projects.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively and influence both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• A proactive, analytical mindset with the ability to tackle complex challenges in distributed systems.
