Lab Support Engineer | Harmonic, Caesarea, Israel
This is a full-time on-site role for a Lab Support Engineer at Harmonic in Caesarea. The role involves providing technical support and troubleshooting to ensure smooth operation of lab equipment and systems. The engineer is responsible for delivering professional customer support, resolving technical issues, performing operating system installations and configurations, and maintaining high-quality service standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Managed and maintained lab equipment, including routers, RPDs, CMs, servers, and FTTx/PON devices.
- Deployed and administered virtualization platforms (VMware) and operating systems (Linux/Windows) across multiple lab setups.
- Troubleshot and resolved hardware, network, and software issues to minimize downtime and ensure lab availability.
- Built and documented new lab setups end-to-end: cabling, hardware installation, software deployment, and network configuration.
- Monitored and optimized lab performance using monitoring tools (Zabbix, SolarWinds) and managed resources via Confluence, LabX, and Visio.
- Collaborated with R&D, QA, and integration teams to provide reliable lab environments aligned with project requirements.
