DevOps Team Lead

About the Role

We are looking for a highly skilled and hands-on DevOps Team Lead to establish, lead, and grow our DevOps function. You will take full responsibility for designing and maintaining scalable, secure, and automated cloud environments – while also mentoring and guiding DevOps engineers and collaborating closely with development, QA, and product teams.

This role combines strong technical execution with team leadership. You will be expected to lead by example, remain hands-on with infrastructure and pipelines, and drive continuous improvement in deployment, observability, and cloud architecture.

·       Lead the design, implementation, and maintenance of CI/CD pipelines across all environments.

·       Build and maintain infrastructure as code using Terraform or CloudFormation.

·       Oversee and guide monitoring, alerting, and logging strategies using tools like CloudWatch, Prometheus, Grafana.

·       Define and enforce DevOps standards, policies, and operational best practices.

·       Collaborate with R&D, QA, and Product to ensure smooth and reliable deployments.

·       Manage and mentor DevOps engineers; help prioritize work and remove blockers.

·       Maintain and optimize multi-account AWS infrastructure per customer/project.

·       Own the security, scalability, and cost-efficiency of cloud environments.

·       Participate in architecture and design decisions, especially those involving infrastructure or deployment.

·      5+ years of DevOps experience, including at least 1–2 years in a team lead or senior role

·      Proven experience with AWS (EC2, S3, IAM, VPC, Lambda, CloudWatch, etc.)

·      Strong hands-on experience with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitLab CI, GitHub Actions, etc.)

·      Proficient in scripting and automation (Python, Bash, etc.)

·      Experience with Docker and container orchestration (ECS, EKS, or Kubernetes)

·      Solid understanding of networking, security, and cloud best practices

·      Excellent communication skills and team leadership abilities

·      Fluent English (written and spoken)

·      Experience working with hybrid or edge environments (e.g., AWS Greengrass, MQTT)

·      Background in customer-specific infrastructure deployments (multi-tenant / per-client setup)

·      Familiarity with AWS Organizations, SCPs, and cost allocation tagging

·      Experience with serverless architectures and event-driven workflows (Lambda, EventBridge)

·      Exposure to configuration management tools (Ansible, Puppet)

·      Understanding of FinOps principles or cloud cost optimization strategies
