Job Description
- Installation, maintenance, upgrade, and patching of Oracle databases in PROD/DEV environments
- Performance tuning and optimization of queries, indexes, structures, and system parameters
- Backup and recovery management using RMAN, including recovery tests, configurations, and hardening
- Performance monitoring and bottleneck identification, using monitoring tools and troubleshooting (OEM and others)
- Work in Linux environments – ongoing maintenance, scripting, and running system commands
- Integration and implementation of monitoring & control solutions – working with monitoring and alerting systems
- Database version upgrades and migrations, including dependency mapping and upgrade planning
- Improving database availability and security – permission management, load balancing
- Collaboration with Development, QA, Infrastructure, and DevOps teams to support applications and integration interfaces
Requirements
- At least 3 years of experience as an Oracle DBA (Infrastructure & Application)
- Proven experience in database performance tuning and optimization
- Hands-on experience with Linux operating systems
- Strong proficiency in RMAN for backup and recovery operations
- Experience working with monitoring & control systems
- Experience with SQL Server – an advantage
