Release Manager

We are looking for a Release Manager to be responsible for managing the complete software delivery life cycle. Working on cyber security cutting edge technology software with the engineers’ teams from the planning phase to the deployment phase through the development and testing phases.

In this role, you will be responsible for the smooth deployment and release of code to internal and customer environments.

You will lead major integrated projects within Secure Access Service Edge (SASE) platform.

To do so you will work closely with the development, DevOps and Products teams managing the complete software delivery life cycle and use and improve our CI/CD pipelines, focusing on reducing toil in the development and lead our deployment into production.

As part of that release process, you will be helping bring code from internal environments to customer sites smoothly, and without incident.

Key Responsibilities

• You will be responsible for the Release Management lifecycle that involves stages such as scheduling the release, coordinating between teams, and deploying of release as per the schedule, desired quality and within budget.
• You need to Improve and define the release management tools to improve tracking and status of the release.
• Responsible for collaborating with system engineering/product architects and identifying dependencies, both logical and technical.
• Collaborate with program and product management to define a release schedule for all components under management, and maintain a forward schedule of changes.
• Responsible for ensuring that all Implementation plans are consistent with defined Release Services Processes and are repeatable.
• Conduct Post-Deployment Analysis of all implementations and reporting of established metrics.
• Team up with relevant development teams responsible for building and improving the CI/CD process and automation tools.
• Participate in Continual Service Improvement (CSI) efforts for all Release Services Process and Procedures
• Lead the Go-Live activities to deploy the software successfully.
• Coordinate the release schedule and resources required depending upon the third-party applications, defect backlogs, planned releases, and infrastructure updates.
• Make improvements in the methodologies used for configuration management and development of software that helps to find ways to use in configuration management.
  
  

• B.sc in computer science or equivalent degree
• 2+ of Project management experience
• 2+ CI/CD process, automation and DevOps related tools (Github, TeamCity or similar)
• 2+ experience with Cloud (AWS Preferred)
• Experience in working with Agile methodologies, including Scrum, Waterfall, or Kanban
• 2+ experience with application infrastructure, system architecture, and operating system
• Working knowledge of Software Development Lifecycle
• Experience in the use of Applications such as Jira and SmartSheet (or other project management apps)
