SW Group Manager

One of our clients, a cutting-edge technology company at the forefront of AI and embedded systems innovation, is looking to hire a Group Manager – Software (AI & Embedded). This company operates within a highly dynamic and interdisciplinary environment, combining the agility of a startup with the global reach and resources of an established leader in the semiconductor IP industry. They specialize in developing advanced AI processors (Neural Processing Units) and accompanying software that enables efficient deployment of AI models on edge devices. Their solutions power a wide range of products across the mobile, automotive, and consumer electronics sectors.

Position Overview:

The company is seeking an experienced and technically proficient Software Group Manager to lead multiple teams in the integration and optimization of advanced AI models on their proprietary NPU platforms.

Responsibilities:

• Manage 2–3 software teams (each consisting of 4–6 engineers), providing mentorship and leadership to team leaders.
• Oversee the development and optimization of embedded software that enables efficient execution of AI models, including LLMs, Computer Vision, and Multimodal applications.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with hardware, architecture, and algorithm teams to ensure full-stack integration.
• Drive strategic planning, prioritize development efforts, and ensure timely delivery of key initiatives.
• Build, mentor, and grow a technically strong engineering group while maintaining high performance standards.

Requirements:

• B.Sc. in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
• Minimum 3 years of experience as a Software Team Leader / Group Manager
• Proven ability to manage multiple software teams or an entire software group (strong advantage).
• At least 5 years of hands-on experience in C++ development in embedded or firmware environments.
• Demonstrated experience building and scaling complex embedded software systems.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience deploying AI/ML models on edge devices using NPUs, DSPs, or similar accelerators.
• Familiarity with AI frameworks such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, ONNX, or TFLite.
• Background in working with LLMs, Computer Vision, or Large Multimodal Models.
